Winter and the Water Element: Stillness and a Quite Time of Renewal
To the mind that is still the whole universe surrenders. –Lao Tzu
The decrease of daylight in the fall prepares us for the quiet and stillness of winter. If we walk in the winter woods, we can see the bare structure of the trees, hear the creaking sounds of ice and tree limbs. The irony of winter is that on the surface not much is going on. Underneath though, there is a dynamic force that builds up in the dark to provide energy for spring.
In this two hour workshop we will draw on memories and images of rest and renewal and transforming fear.
