To schedule an appointment, please contact me directly via email or phone at 410-258-9343.

We are located at:

Jennifer Downs Acupuncture
2501 Manhattan Avenue
Baltimore, MD 21215

What to Expect

The initial appointment is a 90-minute session in which all health concerns are explored and discussed. Jennifer Downs draws on her experience to assess the underlying conditions that have led to the presenting symptoms. In addition to reviewing the health and personal history, a physical exam is performed. Subsequent treatment sessions generally last 45 minutes and occur once a week for five to eight weeks. As improvement is achieved, sessions are extended to every other week, monthly, and sometimes seasonally. Frequency of treatment varies with each individual.

The data in support of acupuncture are as strong as those for many accepted Western medical therapies. One of the advantages of acupuncture is that the incidence of adverse effects is substantially lower than that of many drugs and other accepted medical procedures used for the same conditions.
